Stephanie Hebard
Stephanie Hebard’s dance studies began at age 3 -- in ballet, tap and jazz, and soon afterward in lyrical, pointe, and hip hop. She competed for Charlotte, N.C. area studios in competitions around the state. She enrolled at the University of Georgia as a dance major, then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to study dance education. She was an honor roll student during all eight semesters at both schools, and graduated from UNC Charlotte magna cum laude.
Her dance education and performance experience since graduation includes:
  • Third-year dance educator at Bradley Middle School (CMS).
  • Outstanding First Year Teacher award (2008-2009).
  • CMS Dance Educator of the Year (2009-2010), receiving her award during a ceremony preceding a performance by the North Carolina Dance Theatre.
  • Member of the Charlotte Checkmates (2008-2009), the dance team of the professional Charlotte Checkers hockey franchise.
  • Member of the Lady Cats, the National Basketball Association’s Charlotte Bobcats dance team (voted the NBA’s number one dance team), 2009-2010.

Kim Cerda, Registered Yoga Teacher
Kim took her first yoga class when she was 19 and a student at Binghamton University. After moving to Charlotte in 1999 she began to have a dedicated practice after the birth of her two children and completed teacher training at Yoga One in 2009. Kim believes a dedicated yoga practice is an artful way of living a more mindful, balanced, creative life and is also a way to simply feel good, more at ease and relaxed in the body and mind. When she’s not on the mat practicing or teaching, you’ll find her busy with her two children and husband—playing the piano, getting dinner together in the kitchen or happily buzzing around the garden.

Adam Cerda
Adam began studying martial arts after being inspired by a Bruce Lee triple feature at age 8. For the next 13 years he studied Tang Soo Do and Jiu Jitsu in Brooklyn, NY. Upon moving to Charlotte, NC in 1998, Adam began an in-depth study of the internal martial arts, focusing on the Yang and Chen family styles of Tai Chi. He recently spent several years learning and teaching at the Wah Lum Kung Fu and Tai Chi school of Charlotte. Adam has competed and placed in several local tournaments in both Advanced Empty-Handed and Weapons Forms.
